Frequently Asked Question

 What is the difference in memberships?
​​A full membership is $100.00 and it allows ropers to rope at any BCTRA approved roping and qualify for the finals.
​An associate membership is $50.00 and it allows ropers to rope at any BCTRA approved roping, but not qualify for the finals.
​A junior membership is $20.00 and is for ropers 14 years of age and under. This membership will allow Jr. Ropers to rope at any BCTRA approved roping and qualify for the finals.

​​When will my membership expire?
​
​All memberships will expire after the BCTRA finals each year.

How many ropings do I need to go to, to qualify for the finals?
​Each roper must attend a minimum of 4 ropings to qualify for the BCTRA finals. The Friday Warm Up roping is a qualifier. (It will count as 1 roping towards the finals)

​Can I purchase extra ropings?
​Ropers can purchase a max of 1 roping for $250.00. This can be purchased at the finals.

​Can I go to the finals if I have an associate membership?
​​Ropers can upgrade their card for $120.00 and this will give you a full membership, and any previous ropings will count toward the finals.

How do I become a BCTRA member?
​Anyone can become a BCTRA member. You can either print off a membership form, fill it out and send it to the BCTRA office with a cheque or e-transfer to rae-lynn_83@hotmail.com, or you can go to a BCTRA approved roping and purchase a membership at the entry office. 
​
​How do I know what number I am?
​Team ropers that have had a BCTRA membership in the past will have a number under the reference numbers. If you have never roped before or have never been a BCTRA member, yo​​u will get a number from a director at the roping you enter.
